Christine Alston was born and raised in Millington, Tn.  A small town nestled outside of Memphis, Tn.    Christine Alston better known as "Crystal".  She is the owner/operator of Crystal's Hair Salon at 7941 Leroy Boatwright St. Millington, Tn.  Crystal is married to Victor Alston and they have four children and one grandchild. 

 

Christine desire for styling hair evolved while she was in high school, in 1987, while under the leadership of Mrs Dalrymple at Millington Central High School of Cosmetology class.  With much practice and motivation she received her cosmetology license as a professional hair stylist in 1991.  Christine quickly discovered 'hair" was her true passion and calling, while enchancing  women's beauty and confidence from the inside out. 

 

Beyond the salon chair, Christine is the founder  of "Labor of Love'. Labor of Love is an organization that gives back to the people and the  community.  Several programs under Labor of Love are:  Back to  School haircuts and styles for children, Christmas Toy/Clothes Drive for children that are in need and Cancer Pamper Day for cancer patients  as well as for cancer survivors .
